Pursue in early childhood education with Wordly Wise 3000 books.

WOW! It’s been really a long long time not updating this blog. Finally I had completed my practicum in November 2010. Then my final semester also completed in December 2010. Now… Waiting for my final result.

I’m not so sure this blog will be update again as I will be moving on to another studies that I had just signed up to. It’s not related to early childhood. Earlier plan did not go as planned so I had to opt for other option. In April, I’ll be embarking into another territory that can be considered foreign to me, everything will be totally different.

I’m not sure where the direction of this blog is going to be. I might going to terminate it and redirect the URL to my primary blog. Really not sure yet.

However, one thing for sure it will still stay for now as I’ll be using this blog for some layout experimentation.

OH WOW! I’ve been abandoning this blog for a month!! ;p I’m back! Was having such long holiday since December and now… It’s time to go back to school this weekend. Classes will start this weekend. This semester subjects are Foundations of Early Childhood Education and Special Education Needs and Learning.

*LOL* Almost finish the course and we just started with the foundation ;p This is supposed to be the first class in first year. What to do? Not enough student back then.

Got my academic calender and I feel like want to faint -.-” There is practically no holiday at all this year. Since our classes are on weekends and we are supported learning students, in other words almost all of us have day jobs during the weekday, there’s almost no weekend for our semester break or even exam break, so this one whole year will be no break at all. Full swing!

Usually we will have a weekend break when having semester break or study break but not this year. For this semester at least we have but after that, there is none until Raya break which happened to be public holiday -.-” makes no difference.

What to do, if there’s break it will mean we won’t be able to complete the course in time. I need it to be completed the latest this year end. Sigh…

Anyway, I wonder who our new lecturers will be since all the previous lecturers left already. Hmmm…

Happy 2010! WOW! I haven’t check this blog since my last update in December 2009! ;p This is my first login since 2010. Still in time to wish you all a happy new year hahaha…

I’m having one long long holiday now… Class will only resume after CNY since I’ve done the subjects my seniors are doing now last year by joining the full time class.

Might be finishing this year end or early next year. Time really flies…

Where am I heading after finishing? Not so sure yet, might go into degree in Australia if everything goes as planned. Will I be in this field by then? Maybe yes, maybe no, depends… If I am going to stay back there, then I’ll most probably have to go into this field. We’ll see…

In fact I have a job now and I’m doing this part time so it really doesn’t matter much unless I loss this job then maybe venture into this field since computer/IT skill now is one skill that many young children must master. So you can see that it supplements current qualification.

Why as competitor hahaha… Just doing this for fun and one very important thing in this field is to interact with each other more to learn new skill and share.

Go ahead and post as much you like ;p

WEE!! It’s over! So far this semester’s exams is the hardest. I hope I can get another 2 A’s.

So, holiday for now and will not be updating this blog until class starts in next year ;p Do visit my personal blog though, it’s updated everyday.

Finally the result is out! Got two more A’s. YAY!

Anyway, this term’s subjects are pretty tough especially The Child, Family and Society as there is no definite answer for this topic, there’s a lot of arguments because it’s so subjective that everybody practically got different views regarding of the various issue that will be cover in this wubject.

Wonder will I get another straight A’s for this semester?

1. Movement
   Personal space: Involves immediate area surrounding the body.
   General space: Limited by the floor, wall, or ceiling.
   There are 3 levels: Standing upright/high level, Middle level, Low level
   Sample activity: Pose questions and challenges e.g Imagine you are in a bubble, move around in the bubble.
2. Shape
   Relates to various body parts.
   Sample activity: Mirror game
3. Time
   Relates to how slowly or quickly a movement is performed.
   Sample activity: Crawl like a turtle
4. Force
   Relates to how strongly or lightly a movement is performed.
   Sample activity: Float like a feather.
5. Flow
   Free flow(uninterrupted): e.g. Eagle soaring in the sky
   Bound flow(punctuated or halting): e.g. Hop-hop-stop. hop-hop-stop
6. Rhythm
   Associates with elelment of time.
   Sample activity: Say name out loud and clap by following the syllable.

Semester 3 is coming this Sunday, 26th Oct 2006.

No idea what sort of subject we are going to take. Only will know by then.

Result would be out in 2 weeks time I guess…
